to offer Filet Mignon. Some locations will enhance the mix, and offer fresh
fruit smoothies, a frozen yogurt menu, adding up to extra profits. We take

franchisors like Baja Fresh®, Rubio's®, Sharkey's®, Panera Bread® and Krispy
Kreme®, which demand larger financial commitments. You can own a Tacone® for an
estimated $200,000 to $360,000 depending upon the location.

Financing
We have partnered with several banks to provide our franchisees with the best
financing options, often up to 80% of the cost of your restaurant. Please
review the information in this section to determine if you qualify. Once you
qualify, we will help you complete the loan application to insure that you have
the best opportunity to receive financing.
Site Selection
Our support begins the moment you purchase a franchise by helping you find the
right location. Choosing the location for your restaurant is the single most
important decision you will make. While the task of finding a location remains
your primary responsibility, our experienced and aggressive Real Estate
Department will provide you with a list of available locations in your
preferred market that have been sourced by our office and our exclusive real
estate broker. Together, they have successfully negotiated leases at some of
the highest profile real estate projects in the western US, such as the Century
City Shopping Center & Marketplace adjacent to Beverly Hills, Fashion
Island Shopping Center in Newport Beach and Pacific Place in Seattle.
Due to the success of our restaurants, we are often offered tenancy in
high-quality real estate projects and many of our current franchisees are now
looking to open additional locations.
Design + Construction
Once your lease has been signed, we will refer you to our architect
who will design your restaurant to maximize your sales and uphold consistency
with our brand standards. We will also provide you with a list of recommended
contractors to choose from to build your store at a reasonable cost.
Information Systems
You need the most advanced point-of-sale (POS) technology to best manage your
business. Tacone® offers a state-of-the-art POS and accounting system.
Together, they provide you with all of the information that you need to
maximize your profits.
Vendors
Simplicity + consistency are the other ingredients to our success. To keep your
operation as simple as possible, we have contracted with one of the largest
food distributors in the world, to provide all of our restaurants with the same
high quality food products and award winning customer service.
Franchise Training
The most successful franchisors demonstrate the highest level of commitment to
training. We have a significant investment in your success. Tacone® operates a
training facility in downtown Los Angeles that combines both a high-tech
classroom and a full production kitchen to teach you the skills to operate your
TACONE® business successfully.
We employ a full-time executive chef to conduct much of the franchisee training,
the same individual who has developed the incredible flavors our customers have
enjoyed over the years, and on which our brand is built. Our training is so
complete that we provide you with your Food Handlers Certification upon
successful completion of our training program. Our chef is also himself a
Certified ServSafe® Instructor.
We have an individual directly responsible for training you. Mark Bailey, former
Senior Vice-President of Franchise Operations at one of the largest pizza
chains in the USA. Mark has been designing and implementing training programs
for many years. During his tenure as Director of Training with SUBWAY® in Los
Angeles, Mark was responsible for preparing hundreds of new franchisees to meet
the public. He was an active participant in growing the Southern California
market into the third largest development territory with the highest-average
unit sales in the 17,000+ unit chain. Mark has brought a world of expertise to
the design of a comprehensive 2-week training program, one which combines
business education, hands-on cooking fundamentals and 'live' experience in an
operating Tacone®. Once you've successfully completed your training and become
a Certified Tacone® Franchisee, you'll be fully prepared to successfully
operate a Tacone® restaurant.
Support and More
Our commitment to training does not end when you graduate from our Franchisee
Certification Program. One of our seasoned Franchise Consultants will help you
with the entire process of preparing to open your business, as well as hiring
and training your employees. Your Consultant will also be there to guide you
during that first crucial week of business. In addition, your Consultant will
visit your restaurant at least once a month to provide you assistance with
store operations, local marketing and controlling operating costs. To continue
your ongoing education, we also offer regular training workshops as well as
individualized preparation to become a successful multi-unit franchisee.
